A P Sarvotham

Vidwan A.P. Sarvothama is a highly senior and accomplished Carnatic flute maestro based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He initially learned flute playing from Karnataka Kalatilaka Vidwan M.S. Srinivasamurthy and later underwent advanced musical training under the guidance of Ganakalabhushana Vidwan M.R. Doraswamy. He achieved official empanelment with All India Radio (AIR) by winning the prestigious first prize in the national-level AIR Competition way back in 1993. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has been recognized with awards including the best instrumentalist prize in the youth category by the Bangalore Gayana Samaja and has been felicitated by Ananya. He is currently designated as an upgraded A Grade artist by AIR.
