A Vyasamurthy Katti

Pandit Vyasmurti Katti is a highly celebrated Indian Hindustani classical harmonium maestro, accompanist, and vocal music practitioner based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Born into a music-loving family in Solapur, Maharashtra, he was initially guided by his sisters and went on to complete systematic instrumental training under Pt. Ramacharya Bagewadi. To expand his musical fluency, he pursued advanced vocal tutelage under Pt. Indudhar Nirody, specializing in the Agra Gharana lineage. Renowned for his exquisite melodic integration, he has spent decades accompanying legends including Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Dr. Gangubai Hangal, Pt. Birju Maharaj, and Ustad Rashid Khan. Academically an Electronics Engineer, he chose to transition out of a standard corporate IT career to dedicate himself entirely to classical music heritage. He is an elite empanelled broadcast artist associated with Akashvani (All India Radio) Bengaluru and tours extensively across global circuits including the USA, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East
