Adamya Ramanand

Vidwan Adamya Ramanand is a Bengaluru-based Carnatic mridangam artist who owes his musical inclinations to his grandfather, Sri Pundareeka Bhat, a mridangam player from Sringeri. He began learning the mridangam at the age of six under M. A. Krishnamurthy and has been a disciple of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman since 2005. He has been an 'A' grade artist of AIR and Doordarshan since 2013. After a decade in the software industry he turned to music full-time, teaches students in India and abroad, and co-runs the Swaraveenalaya Centre for Performing Arts with his mother, veena artist Geetha Ramanand, and his sister.
