Ballesh S. (Pandit S. Ballesh) is an A grade Hindustani shehnai artist empanelled with Akashvani (All India Radio) Bengaluru, on its rolls since 2016. Born in the Belagavi (Belgaum) district of Karnataka, he was among the last direct disciples of the shehnai maestro Bharat Ratna Ustad Bismillah Khan in the Benares gharana, and was conferred the Padma Shri in 2022 for his contribution to art. Based in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
