Bhagyalakshmi Chandrashekaran

Bhagyalakshmi Chandrashekaran is a Top grade Carnatic veena artist empanelled with Akashvani (All India Radio) Bengaluru, on its rolls since 2013. A granddaughter of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Mudikondan C. Venkatarama Iyer, she was initiated into vocal music and the veena in childhood and is a graded AIR vainika whose recitals have also been broadcast on Doordarshan and overseas networks; she won first prizes in the veena competitions of the Music Academy and the Indian Fine Arts Society, Chennai. She performs both solo and in jugalbandi and is also a teacher. Based in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
