L. Subramaniam

L. Subramaniam is a Top grade Carnatic violin artist empanelled with Akashvani (All India Radio) Bengaluru, on its rolls since 2004. He is Dr. Lakshminarayana Subramaniam (born 23 July 1947), the internationally acclaimed violinist, composer and conductor trained in both Carnatic and Western classical traditions, who was taught primarily by his father Prof. V. Lakshminarayana. A child prodigy, he won the All India Radio national competition and received the President's Award as Best Violinist from AIR in 1963, and is renowned worldwide for pioneering fusions of Carnatic music with Western classical, jazz and world music. He is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
