Narasimhalu Vadavati

Pandit Narasimhalu Vadavati (born 21 January 1942, Vadavati village, Raichur district, Karnataka) is an A grade Hindustani clarinet artist empanelled with Akashvani (All India Radio) Bengaluru, on its rolls since 2016, and is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Born into a musical family, he trained in Hindustani vocal music under Pandit Siddarama Jambladinni of the Gwalior and Jaipur gharanas before adapting the clarinet to produce a near-vocal effect in Hindustani classical music. His honours include the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award (1997-98), the T. Chowdaiah National Award (2019-20), a doctorate from Gulbarga University, and a listing in the International Who's Who in Music; he has performed in the UK, USA and France and founded music academies in Raichur and Bangalore.
