Subhadra Desai

Dr. Subhadra Desai is a Hindustani classical vocalist and music scholar who holds a doctoral degree in Sanskrit from the University of Delhi and researches the oral traditions of ancient Indian music. A senior disciple of Pt. Madhup Mudgal, she also trained under Vidushi Malini Rajurkar and Pt. Dinkar Kaikini, and is an ICCR-empanelled artist and an A-grade All India Radio artist in the devotional genre. She has performed in the USA, UK, Germany, Korea and Bangladesh, and has taught at Ashoka University, NID Ahmedabad and Lady Shri Ram College Delhi, and currently serves as faculty at Silicon Andhra University, California.
