Garima Arya

Dr. Garima Arya is a Kathak dancer and vocalist in the Lucknow Gharana tradition and the founder-director of Kalakulam Academy of Performing Arts in Delhi. A disciple of the Kathak legend Padma Vibhushan Pandit Birju Maharaj, she began dancing at the age of four and moved to Delhi in 2006 to pursue Kathak, and she holds a Ph.D. in music and dance from the University of Delhi. She is known for structured, expressive performances.
