    Pandit Jagadeesh D. Kurthkoti is a highly versatile Indian Hindustani classical percussionist, multi-instrumentalist, and distinguished music composer based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Academically an engineering graduate from the BMS College of Engineering, his intense dedication to the performing arts led him to choose music as his full-time profession. He initially initiated his foundational percussion training under Sri Praveen D. Rao, later honing his classical skills under Pandit Udayraj Karpoor, and studied intricate Carnatic rhythmic structures under the guidance of Vidwan Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma. He is currently receiving advanced training (Talim) in the rich aesthetic traditions of the Punjab Gharana under the tutelage of the renowned maestro Pandit Yogesh Samsi. A certified Visharad from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai, he is a highly accomplished graded artist empanelled on the broadcasting registers of Akashvani (All India Radio) Bengaluru. A recipient of titles like the Swara Kala Gourav Puraskaar, he has toured extensively as a solo player and accompaniment artist, and is widely recognized for conceptualizing, directing, and composing the critically acclaimed percussion ensemble Kashi Damaru.
