K Narasimha Joshi

Sri Narasimha Joshi is a highly accomplished young Hindustani classical vocalist and performer based in the Greater Bengaluru Area, Karnataka. Born in Sonda (North Canara district), he grew up in an artistic environment with his father, a Yakshagana artist. He received rigorous, long-term training under the Guru-Shishya parampara for over 15 years from Pt. Shripad Hegde (senior disciple of Padma Bhushan Pt. Basavraj Rajguru) and later under Pt. M.P. Hegde of Sirsi. This extensive lineage has given him a unique expertise in blending the Gwalior and Kirana Gharana styles of singing. He holds a Master's degree in Hindustani Vocal Music and is an empanelled "B-Top Grade" artist with Akashvani (All India Radio). Known for his versatile renditions of Khayal, Tarana, Thumri, and light classical devotional varieties, he actively performs across major platforms and dedicates himself to mentoring the younger generation of vocalists.
