Kavitha Jayaraman

Kavitha Jayaraman is an award-winning Carnatic veena artist, educator, and a voting member of The Recording Academy (GRAMMY). A third-generation musician, she began her musical journey at age four under her mother and was awarded the prestigious 10-year Cultural Talent Scholarship by the Government of India at age ten. She trained in veena under Smt. Jayashree Aravind, a senior disciple of Padma Bhushan Sangeetha Kalanidhi K.S. Narayanaswamy, and holds the Sangeetha Visharad diploma. With over 300 concerts across India, Singapore, and the USA, her debut album Varnams Reimagined won two Silver Medals at the Global Music Awards and Best Song at the World Film Festival in Cannes. A Berklee College of Music graduate (Master's in Music Business), Kavitha also founded Kalaadhaanam, an arts academy dedicated to preserving Indian classical music, raising over USD 75,000 for arts education.
