L. Ramakrishnan

L. Ramakrishnan is a Carnatic violinist from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, initiated into vocal music at age two by his mother before beginning violin training at Shanmukhananda Vidyalaya, Mumbai, under Smt. Visalam Vageeswar. At age thirteen he came under the wings of the distinguished violin maestro A. Kanyakumari, under whose guidance he blossomed into one of the most sought-after Carnatic violinists of his generation. He gave his first Chennai solo concert at age seventeen in 2001 and has since accompanied leading Carnatic artists across India and internationally in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and the Middle East. He is acclaimed for the beauty of his tone, clarity of intonation, and sensitive accompaniment style.
