Mukul Shivaputra

Mukul Shivaputra (born 25 March 1956), son and foremost disciple of Pt. Kumar Gandharva, is a Hindustani vocalist of the Gwalior Gharana who carries forward the Gandharva musical legacy and remains active at major national festivals. Beyond the training received from his father, he studied Dhrupad and Dhamar with K. G. Ginde and Carnatic music with M. D. Ramanathan, giving his singing an unusually wide grounding. He debuted at the Sawai Gandharva Music Festival in 1975.
