Mylai Karthikeyan

Mylai M. Karthikeyan (born January 3, 1998, Chennai) is a young and acclaimed nadaswaram artist who began training at age eight under his father Mylai Sri S. Mohanraj, and later under Vidwan Mylai Sri Rajendran. He completed his Diploma in Nadaswaram from Adyar Music College under Vidwan Vysarpadi Sri G. Kothandaraman, earning the gold medal, and is an A-grade artist of All India Radio. He has been honoured with the awards "Vaadya Visaaradha," "Vaadhya Kalaimani," "Nadaswara Eilaval," and the MS Subbulakshmi Fellowship Award. He is a member of "A Carnatic Quartet," a pioneering ensemble that brought together Carnatic instrumental voices during the pandemic-era lockdown and has since toured extensively.
