Nandini Shankar

Nandini Shankar is a rising star of Hindustani classical violin and the granddaughter of Padma Vibhushan Dr. N. Rajam. She began her musical training at age three and gave her first public performance at eight, carrying forward the Gayaki Ang tradition through her mother Dr. Sangeeta Shankar's tutelage. She has performed at prestigious festivals across more than 20 countries including the USA, UK, France, Germany, New Zealand, and Singapore. She and her sister Ragini Shankar were signed by Decca Records US (part of Universal Music Group) for their ensemble "Taraana," highlighting their status as ambassadors of Indian classical music to global audiences.
