Nityasree Mahadevan

Nithyashree Mahadevan (born 1973) is a celebrated Carnatic vocalist from Chennai. She is the granddaughter of the legendary D.K. Pattammal and was trained initially by her grandmother. She received the Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu and has performed extensively at major sabhas and festivals across India and abroad, carrying forward the distinguished Pattammal bani tradition.
