R K Prakash

R. K. Prakash is a Carnatic Saraswati veena vidwan of the celebrated Rudrapatna musical family of Karnataka, the son and disciple of Vainika Praveena Vidwan R. S. Keshavamurthy (of the Mysore court tradition). He serves as Asthana Vidwan (court musician) of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham and is known for a leisurely, methodical raga alapana; his honours include the World Master award at the World Masters Festival (Seoul, 2007) and titles such as Sangeetha Sarvabhouma and Vainika Saraswathi.
