R.N. Prakash

R.N. Prakash is an A grade Carnatic ghatam artist empanelled with Akashvani (All India Radio) Bengaluru, on its rolls since 1991. He began percussion training at age six in Bangalore under K.N. Krishna Murthy and specialised in the ghatam, earning All India Radio's 'A' grade at a young age. He later built an international career, relocating to England and performing across the UK and Europe with leading Carnatic and fusion artists, and serves on the faculty of the London School of Carnatic Music. He has performed at the Darbar Festival, collaborating with artists such as Jayanthi Kumaresh, Ganesh & Kumaresh and Jyotsna Srikanth.
