Saketharaman

Saketharaman (born 24 November 1982) is one of the foremost Carnatic vocalists of his generation, celebrated for his bhakti-infused concerts blending bhajan, kritis, and manodharma music. A prime disciple of Padmabhushan Lalgudi Jayaraman, he began training at age four under the late Srirangam Krishnamurthy Rao and has been honoured with the Best Vocalist award from the Music Academy, Chennai, for three consecutive years. He is an A-grade artist at All India Radio and has composed over 100 Pallavis regularly featured in his concerts. Through his web series "Crossover with Saketh" and his music school Kala Shiksha, he works to make Carnatic music accessible to a wider audience.
