Sandeep Narayan

Sandeep Narayan is one of the leading Carnatic vocalists of his generation, born and raised in Cerritos, California, who relocated to Chennai in 2006 to dedicate himself fully to Carnatic music. The son of K.S. Narayan, founding president of the South Indian Music Academy in Los Angeles, he holds an A Grade with All India Radio, Chennai, since 2010. He has collaborated across Carnatic, Hindustani, jazz, folk, and electronic music genres and received a 2025 Juno Award nomination for his EP Arul co-created with Canadian artist Yanchan. He has been honoured with the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar from the Government of India and named Artiste of the Year by the Mandolin Shrinivas Institute of World Musique.
