Shri. R. Ramesh is a retired mridangam artist who was formerly part of the Vadya Vrinda ensemble. Based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, he has dedicated his career to the art of mridangam performance within the rich tradition of South Indian classical music. As a retired staff member of Vadya Vrinda, he contributed to the preservation and propagation of this ancient percussion art form. His association with Chennai, one of India's most prominent centres for Carnatic music, reflects his deep connection to the classical music tradition of South India.
