Sundar nath

Sundarnath N. (born January 13, 1988) is a highly proficient Indian Hindustani classical sitar and surbahar player based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He began learning Hindustani classical vocal music at the age of four from Sri V. M. Nagaraj. At eight, he shifted his focus to the sitar under the tutelage of Ustad Bale Khan, a legendary sitarist from the Dharwad lineage. He later received intensive mentorship from Pt. Arvind Parikh, mastering the intricate styles and emotional nuances of the Etawah-Imdadkhani Gharana, with additional guidance from maestros like Shafique Khan and Ramprappana Bhattacharya. A winner of the prestigious Citi-NCPA Music Scholarship (2016–17), he holds a postgraduate degree in Electronic Media from Bangalore University. He is an empanelled B-High grade instrumental artist with Akashvani (All India Radio) Bengaluru and performs regularly across major music festivals in India, including the Sawai Gandharva Mahotsav
