    Sanjeev Abhyankar

    Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar is a Hindustani classical vocalist of the Mewati gharana, born on 5 October 1969 in Pune. He was first trained by his mother, Dr. Shobha Abhyankar, a musicologist and teacher of the Mewati gharana, and by Pandit Gangadharbua Pimpalkhare of the Gwalior gharana, before becoming a disciple of Padma Vibhushan Pandit Jasraj. He performs khayal alongside a substantial devotional repertoire, and has recorded extensively and toured widely in India and abroad.
