    About Utsava Sampradaya Kritis

Utsava Sampradaya Kritis are a corpus of Carnatic compositions traditionally performed during temple festivals and specific religious occasions as part of a prescribed ritual sequence, occupying a unique place at the intersection of classical music, temple worship, and living devotional tradition. These kritis, composed by Thyagaraja and other Carnatic masters, are associated with specific deities, sacred shrines, and festival days, and are performed as part of ceremonial processions and rituals in adherence to ancient custom and musical heritage.
