49th Gokulashtami Sangeetotsava – Day 1: Trichur Brothers

The 49th Gokulashtami Celebrations 2026 continues its annual series of Carnatic music concerts with a vocal recital by Trichur Brothers—Srikrishna Mohan and Ramkumar Mohan—on 15 August 2026 at Odukkathur Mutt, Bengaluru. Organised by Unnati, the concert forms part of the festival's long-standing tradition of presenting leading exponents of Carnatic classical music during the Gokulashtami celebrations.

Known for their distinctive duo presentation, the Trichur Brothers combine the traditional Carnatic repertoire with a collaborative approach to raga exploration and manodharma. Their performances draw from the classical concert tradition while reflecting the musical lineage established through their extensive training under eminent gurus.

The artists will be accompanied by S. Janardhan on violin, Trichur R. Mohan on mridangam, and Kovai Suresh on ghatam, bringing together melody, rhythm, and improvisation in the Carnatic concert format.

Presented at Odukkathur Mutt, the recital is part of the 49th Gokulashtami Celebrations, a festival that annually showcases Indian classical music through performances by established musicians and emerging artists in a devotional setting.
